How We Care for Pregnant Guests
At Dr. Foot, we adjust the pressure intensity and treatment areas based on your physical condition and stage of pregnancy, so pregnant guests can enjoy our service with confidence.
Foot reflexology is intended for relaxation and is not a medical treatment. Because pregnancy requires extra care, please always let us know that you are pregnant when you visit.
Early to Mid-Pregnancy
The early stage through the second trimester is a time when your physical condition can change easily. If you have any concerns, if your doctor has advised you to rest, or if you have symptoms such as bleeding or abdominal pain, please consult your doctor in advance. During treatment, we will avoid strong pressure and work within a comfortable range.
Stable Period Onward
Even after entering the stable period, condition varies from person to person. We will check your condition and stage of pregnancy on the day, and adjust the pressure intensity and treatment areas accordingly. If you have any concerns, please consult your doctor in advance.
Requests When Visiting
To help you receive treatment with peace of mind, we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following:
- Please inform us that you are pregnant when booking or visiting
- Please let us know your current week of pregnancy and how you are feeling
- If your doctor has advised rest or special caution, please consult us in advance
- If you notice any change in your condition during treatment, please let our staff know immediately
Reflex Zones We Take Extra Care With During Pregnancy
During pregnancy treatment, we adjust the pressure intensity and treatment areas based on your condition. In particular, we work carefully around the reflex zones associated with the uterus and ovaries, and any areas where pressure tends to be stronger. Overall, we focus on a gentle touch and stay within a comfortable range.
For those who feel swelling or coldness, we focus on the calves and lower legs at a comfortable pressure. We adjust the treatment so you can spend the time relaxing.
